How to make a profit from emailing schools
01/09/2009 by Tony Attwood.
Four years ago emailing schools hardly existed as a marketing idea. Now there are four different approaches - a couple of which actually get your email direct into the personal email account of individual teachers - rather than going via the school administrator.
And that level of change makes emailing into schools complex.
For it is not just the issue of which of the four systems you use, it is also the question of what you put on the subject line, when you mail, how you write the email, what to do about links and illustrations, how much colour to use, not to mention who to mail…
My colleagues and I have been experimenting, and experimenting some more. We have changed the text, the style, the colour, the approach, the links - everything in fact. All to find out which approach gives us the most click throughs, and ultimately the most sales.
And now, being the nice friendly chap I am, I have written it all up in one simple paper called “How to make a profit from emailing schools”.
You can read it at http://www.hamilton-house.com/free%20reports/Emailing%20schools0109.pdf or, if it is easier, just go to www.hamilton-house.com and then on the left side of the screen click on the How To tab.
That takes you to a list of How To papers from Hamilton House. Scroll down the list, and top of the education list is this new paper.
It’s only six pages long, so you can read it over a cup of tea. Then, if you want to argue with me, or follow up on any point you can email me (just click reply) or call Hamilton House on 01536 399 000.
